Pat Sams
Pat Hanes Sams is a native Georgian, growing up in College Park and now residing in Peachtree City. She is proud of her Southern heritage and feels it has played a major role in her work. She likes to paint figures, portraits, still life and landscapes. Loving a good story, like most Southerners, she prefers narrative paintings. A lot of her inspirations come from old family photographs. She has had some formal training at the Atlanta College of Art but feels indebted to Jo Ellen Bailey, Jeanne Szabo, and Helen Hayes for showing her the way.
