Vicki Turner
Local Fayetteville artist, Vicki Turner, has 38 years of experience in Art and Design. For 26 years, she was the creative side of AIS Computers. Vicki began drawing and painting in elementary school and never stopped.
Her paintings are displayed in local banks, bookstores and galleries throughout Georgia and Tennessee. Vicki enjoys painting in oils, acrylics, and watercolor. Her paintings are known for her great attention to detail!
Her many accolades include being featured in the February/March 2006 edition of the Arts & Expression Magazine and the April 2007 cover of Fayette Woman Magazine.
In 2008, Congressman Lynn Westmoreland chose Vicki to paint a Christmas tree ornament for the White House’s “State” tree in Washington D.C. This honor had Vicki traveling to Washington for the special artist reception hosted by First Lady Laura Bush at the White House. In April 2009, Vicki’s “Blue Ribbon” painting of the oldest Courthouse in the State of Georgia is featured on the front of the 2010 Fayette County Chamber of Commerce History Book.
Vicki believes, in addition to her art, that being an active volunteer in the community is very important. For the past 20 years, Vicki has volunteered many hours at the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. She is a past Chamber Chair (2004), serving 9 years on the Board. She is currently serving as a Co-Chair of Leadership Fayette, an Ambassador and serving on the Government Affairs Committee. Vicki has received several service awards from the Chamber over the years: 2006 Business Person of the Year, 2005 Dream Builders Award, 2001 Chet Wells Award, and in 1997 Ambassador of the Year. From there, her volunteering continues. She is currently on the Board of Metro Fayette Kiwanis Club, Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Fayette Senior Services, Fayette Community Foundation and Fayetteville Main Street. Vicki is also a member of the Cancer Task Force Committee at Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Society of Fine Art, Business Women of Fayette and Coweta and she serves on the Christmas Tour of Homes Committee at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church were she is a member.
